Meals are freshly prepared daily by our qualified and experienced Nursery Cook, Linda Brocklehurst and her Assistant Cook Melissa Rodriguez. Good quality, nutritionally balanced meals are prepared using fresh fruit, vegetables and ingredients from Morrisons. We operate a three week rolling menu which includes a vegetarian option.
The menu is altered seasonally, and remains flexible to allow for individual dietary needs and requirements. Fresh fruit is offered at all meals, as well as for a healthy snack during the day. Meal times are family orientated with mixed age groups and a member of staff at each table. This encourages the children and staff to share good manners as well as helping to make meals a social time to chat with others.
Baby Room main meal times are half an hour earlier than other rooms, with each child’s individual mealtimes and needs catered for when weaning.
One area we firmly believe has a fundamental impact on our children is the food they eat whilst they are in our care and this is another area where we choose to spend a little more. We employ two qualified, time-served cooks who prepare excellent, nutritional and varied meals on a daily basis for our children. Our cooks vary the menus to suit the seasons.
Breakfast is at 8.30am
Snack time is at 10am
Lunch is at 12pm
Tea time is 3pm
